Surgical Procedures

Hair Transplant in DHA Phase 6, Lahore

A surgical procedure carried out by Dr. Syeda Afifa, FCPS — board-certified plastic surgeon. Assessed in person before any quote is given.

A hair transplant moves follicles from an area where hair grows densely to an area where it has thinned. It is surgery, not a salon treatment, and it should be approached that way — with a proper assessment of your hair loss pattern, the density available at the donor site, and whether your loss has stabilised enough for surgery to make sense yet.

That last point is the one most often skipped. If hair loss is still actively progressing, a transplant can produce a result that looks unbalanced later as surrounding hair continues to thin. Part of the consultation is establishing where you are in that process and whether waiting, or addressing the loss medically first, is the better decision.

Procedures are carried out by Dr. Syeda Afifa, FCPS (Plastic Surgery), a board-certified plastic surgeon. She trained at Aga Khan University Hospital and holds a fellowship from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital. We do not quote a hair transplant without assessing you in person first — the number of grafts required, and therefore the cost, cannot be established any other way.

We also offer PRP and mesotherapy for the scalp, which are non-surgical and sometimes the more appropriate starting point. If that applies to your case, we will tell you.

Aftercare

Looking after your results

You will be given detailed, personalised aftercare by your surgeon, and following it closely matters — the first two weeks largely determine how well grafts settle. Expect swelling and scabbing in the early days, and avoid touching or scratching the treated area.

Transplanted hair typically sheds before it regrows, which surprises people who are not warned. Regrowth is gradual and measured in months rather than weeks. Your surgeon will set out the expected timeline and the follow-up schedule so you know what is normal at each stage.

Cost depends on the number of grafts needed, which cannot be judged from a photograph or a phone call. We assess you in person and then give you a firm figure — we do not quote surgery unseen.

Transplanted hair usually sheds first and then regrows gradually over months. Your surgeon will give you a realistic timeline at consultation so you know what to expect at each stage.

It depends on your loss pattern, your donor density, and whether the loss has stabilised. If surgery is not the right step for you yet, we will say so and discuss alternatives such as PRP or scalp mesotherapy.

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. Some soreness and swelling afterwards is expected and manageable with the medication your surgeon prescribes.
